Free edit pdf tool

Change the text in a PDF without redrawing the page.

PDF text is stored as positioned drawing instructions, not as a word-processing paragraph. SimplyPDF extracts those text runs, lets you edit one in place, then covers the original and redraws the replacement at the same baseline and size. Serif and monospace documents get matching PDF fonts on export.

02 / QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Will the font match exactly?+

SimplyPDF preserves size, weight, italic style, colour and typeface family, and uses a matching PDF font for serif, sans-serif and monospace documents.

Why is a white box shown while editing?+

It hides the original line in the preview. On export the page is flattened so the original text is genuinely removed, not left underneath.

Can I edit scanned text?+

Scanned pages need OCR first. Open the scanner to add a searchable text layer, then edit the recognised text.
