Is OCR automatic?+
No. Scanning produces the page image. OCR adds a searchable text layer separately and needs the processing service.
Do my photos leave the device?+
The scan cleanup runs in the browser. OCR is a separate server-assisted step when you choose it.
Can I scan several pages?+
